We execute tunnelling projects for water, hydroelectric, and transportation sectors through global collaboration. Our teams across Australasia and the Americas.

Working with the Team Leader for Tunnels and Underground Spaces, the position plays a key technical leadership and delivery role, and will see you involved in a diverse range of technical work, project management and mentoring including:

• Permanent and temporary structural design for tunnels, caverns and underground spaces
• Pre-cast segmental linings and cast-in-situ mined tunnel linings design
• Design of pressure tunnels for hydroelectric and water schemes
• Shaft / retaining structures design
• Contribution to technical leadership and guidance of less experienced team members
• Leading work packages in relation to tunnel and underground designs and the production of design deliverables including drawings, specifications and reports
• Leading tunnel engineering risk assessments 
• Tunnel condition assessment and remediation design
• Contribution to Tunnel Service Line and related tasks and activities 
• Working as part of a dedicated and driven team on international projects, developing high quality tunnelling solutions for our clients.

What you will bring to the team

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in tunnelling projects
• Strong technical background, including in structural design of pre-cast segmental linings, cast in-situ concrete and shotcrete linings for tunnels and caverns.
• Experience in technical leadership, mentoring team members
• A desire to grow the business, collaborating in a global delivery model
• Experience in Construction Phase Services in relation to detailed design deliveries
• Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
• The ability to communicate openly and build relationships with peers and clients
• Relevant tertiary qualification. Postgraduate qualifications will be favourably considered.
• Chartered status (e.g. CPEng, RPEQ, VPEQ) is highly desirable and if not, conscientiously working towards achieving it.
