The Casino Food Company is a leading export food processor with a production facility located in Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast. Since 1933, our Company has established ourselves as an industry leader in meat processing, providing a unique opportunity for operators to process livestock in world class processing facilities.

We are currently seeking a reliable, experienced, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Stock Hand at our Booyong plant. Reporting to the Booyong Operations Manager, this role will oversee livestock operations including receival, scheduling and management of animals for processing.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Taking receipt of pigs, drafting them into designated lots.
  • Counting pigs upon receival to plant to ensure consistency of processing numbers.
  • Preparing the processing run sheet for the following day's production.
  • Provide leadership to the livestock team, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
  • Promote company policy and procedures within the department, ensuring animal welfare requirements are met.
  • Ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
  • Provide management with advice and information as required.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to following Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to perform physical tasks.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
