The Opportunity

  • Receiving frozen, chilled and dry products via use of forklift
  • Manual staging of consignments and checking goods prior to unloading ensuring they are correctly packaged, allocated, staged and there is no damage to goods or packaging
  • Unloading and loading Tautliners and flatbed trucks via forklift
  • Manual loading of fridge pans with manual pallet jacks and forklift in correct order
  • Use of manual pallet jacks and forklift to assist in loading and unloading pans and moving products for storage
  • Cleaning and housekeeping
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

To be successful it is essential that you have:

  • Experience in loading and restraining freight on Tautliners
  • Experience in a cold store environment advantageous
  • Experience in staging and loading refrigerated pans advantageous
  • Understanding of food safety handling and quality control
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently, correctly and systematically in accordance with procedures and standards
  • Ability to understand and follow procedures and instructions
  • High attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritise workloads
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute positively to the team
  • Strong work ethic, reliable, punctual and have a "can do" attitude
  • Ability to read and write English accurately
  • High level of personal hygiene
  • High level of fitness to undertake repetitive manual tasks
  • Valid forklift licence required for operating forklifts in warehouse and loading operations
