OverviewAbout Microsoft
At Microsoft, our mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We live our values of respect, integrity, and accountability, fostering a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive and do their best work.
About the role
We are at a defining moment in the evolution of education. The way we teach, learn, and prepare students for the future is being reshaped by AI and digital technologies. Educators and institutions are reimagining classrooms to be more inclusive, adaptive, and future-ready — and the K12 Account Technology Strategist role places you at the center of that transformation. You'll help shape how the next generation learns and thrives in a world that looks radically different from today.
Microsoft's Education Account Team partners with customers on their AI journey — envisioning what's possible, delivering solutions that drive measurable impact, and unlocking growth for both our customers and Microsoft.
We're looking for a pathfinder: someone bold, entrepreneurial, and resourceful, with the curiosity to innovate and the agility to pivot quickly. You put outcomes first, thrive in fast-paced environments, and bring resilience, growth mindset, and customer obsession to every challenge.
As an Enterprise Account Technology Strategist, you will:
- Partner with Enterprise Account Executives and a wide v-team to drive AI-led transformation in K12 education.
- Build trusted relationships with technology leaders, leveraging Microsoft's product portfolio and partner ecosystem to deliver industry-relevant solutions.
- Translate business objectives into innovative technical solutions that accelerate customers' AI vision while meeting Microsoft's strategic goals.
This role offers flexibility, with the option to work up to 50% remotely.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- 5+ years in technical consulting, consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/industry roles.
- 5+ years leveraging technology to drive business outcomes and transformation initiatives.
- 4+ years in business consulting, consultative selling, or driving organizational change.
- 5+ years leading technical teams, support organizations, and/or partner networks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Customer AI & Security Strategy Leadership – Capture and articulate customers' business objectives, technology landscape, and AI/Security strategies to shape actionable roadmaps.
- Trusted Technology Seller – Drive Microsoft business growth through customer alignment, partner co-sell motions, and governance on consumption and usage.
- Technology Leadership Across Solution Areas – Lead AI (data, migration, and innovation) and Security conversations across customer stakeholders, connecting Microsoft solutions to business priorities.
- Industry Knowledge & Advisory – Apply deep understanding of industry trends, customer challenges, and technology platforms to co-create AI strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. Engage in constructive dialogue to challenge assumptions and unlock new opportunities.
- Thought Leadership – Bring industry insights and expertise (deep within a few accounts or broad across many) to inform the development of Industry Sales Kits and identify relevant partner opportunities.
- Market Awareness – Monitor and articulate industry-specific trends, threats, opportunities, and barriers, advising customers on how to navigate and achieve sustainable growth.
