About the Role:

Are you an experienced midwife ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? We're seeking a dynamic and compassionate Associate Midwifery Unit Manager (AMUM) to join our dedicated team and help shape the delivery of exceptional maternity care.

As an integral part of our leadership team, you will play a key role in supporting staff, optimising flow, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and experience for women, birthing people, and their families. About You:

To be Successful in this Role, you will:

  • Be an experienced senior midwife, with previous in-charge experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead, manage and inspire a large, diverse team
  • Hold relevant registration with AHPRA as a Midwife
  • Bring strong skills in planning, prioritising, and managing competing demands
  • Show an understanding of cultural safety and the factors influencing the health outcomes of First Nations women and families
  • Display a clear commitment to family-integrated care, advocacy, and respectful practice
  • Be driven by a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of women, birthing people and their families
  • Foster open, supportive relationships within your team, promoting positive morale, wellbeing, and team cohesion
