About the Role:
We will be seeking an experienced
Horizontal Directional Driller (HDD)
to join our team for upcoming
Water Corporation
projects across Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a professional, safety-focused crew on essential infrastructure works.
**Please note, we will be hiring for a position to start in the new year**
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment for utility installation
- Interpret plans, drawings, and utility locations
- Work safely around existing underground services
- Complete daily job reports and maintain drill logs
- Collaborate with site supervisors, locators, and other team members
- Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating HDD rigs (Vermeer or Ditch Witch preferred)
- Relevant tickets and certifications (HR license, White Card, etc.)
- Knowledge of utility installation procedures
- Ability to read and understand utility plans
- Strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Western Power and/or Water Corp experience highly regarded
- Availability for regional work and flexible hours when required
