Pay Rate:

· Casual employee: $40 per hour + superannuation

· ABN: $45 per hour (invoicing required)

Days & Hours:

• Now – 8 October: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 10am–6pm

• From 8 October – 13 November: Tuesday 10am–6pm, Wednesday 11am–7pm, Thursday 10am–6pm

About the Family

This lovely family in Ripley are looking for a caring and confident nanny to support them with their first baby, a 10-week-old girl. Mum is currently studying a diploma course online, while Dad works from home part of the week.

They are in the thick of the newborn stage and are seeking an extra set of hands until 13 November 2025, when they will be heading overseas for five weeks. Pre-baby, both parents enjoyed home cooking, watching movies, relaxing, and working out at the gym. Their daughter was born full term, takes a bottle, and has a loose nighttime routine but mostly follows cues.

What We're Looking For

The family are seeking a female nanny who:

· Has strong infant experience and confidence in all aspects of baby care and development

· Can take feedback on board while also offering gentle guidance and strategies – a true "baby guru"

· Is comfortable working in the home with both parents present

· Can help create a calm, nurturing environment

While this is a short-term role, the family would be open to continuing after they return from overseas in January 2026 if it's a great fit.

Key Tasks

· Feeding – preparing bottles (formula and/or expressed breastmilk), sterilising, burping

· Nappy changes throughout the day

· Bathing & dressing – keeping baby clean, comfortable, and well-cared for

· Sleep support – settling, following routines, and safe sleep practices

· Developmental play – tummy time, singing, reading, talking, gentle sensory activities

· Soothing & comfort – rocking, holding, swaddling, calming techniques

· Baby laundry – washing, folding, and putting away clothes, sheets, bibs

· Tidying baby areas – nursery, change table, play space

· Hygiene & safety – sterilising bottles/toys/dummies, maintaining safe environment

· Outings – pram walks, baby-friendly activities (as required)

· Monitoring baby's cues & tracking routine (feeds, naps, nappy changes)

· Supporting expressed feeding – cleaning/sterilising pump parts

· Maintaining sleep environment – fresh sheets, swaddles, tidy cot/bassinet

· Light household tasks – stacking dishwasher, kitchen tidy related to baby care

· Parent support – reassurance and sharing settling/routine strategies

Transport

• No regular driving required

• Licence preferred but not essential (occasional outings)

Must Have

• Blue Card / Police Check

• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role

• 2 x reference checks

• Own vehicle & open driver's licence

• Up-to-date whooping cough vaccination

Job Types: Fixed term, Temp to perm, Contract

Pay: $40.00 per hour
