About the Job:
ARES Group is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Full Stack React/Node Contractor to join our team on a contractual basis for a specific project. This project involves rewriting our current employee portal to version 2.0. As a Full Stack React/Node Contractor at ARES Group, you will play a pivotal role in this project, developing an end-to-end software solution that enhances our heavy hauling operations. Leveraging your expertise in React, , Express, and MySQL, you will collaborate closely with our team to deliver a seamless and efficient software solution tailored to the requirements of the portal rewrite. A technical understanding of the old code base is not a requirement as this is a complete rewrite. The production environment will run on AWS.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand project objectives for upgrading the current portal to version 2.0.
Develop, test, and deploy full stack software solutions using React, , Express, and MySQL for the rewrite project.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the rewritten portal.
Work closely with our engineering and product teams to integrate the upgraded portal seamlessly into our operations.
About You:
To be successful in this role as a Full Stack React/Node Developer at ARES Group, you should meet the following qualifications:
Proven experience as a developer, with a strong track record of successfully delivering software projects.
Proficiency in , React, Express, and MySQL, with demonstrable experience in developing full stack applications.
Experience working with APIs.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software issues effectively.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications, the following skills and experiences are preferred for the role of Full Stack React/Node Contractor at ARES Group:
Familiarity with AWS, as it will be beneficial for this role.
While experience in the transportation or logistics industry is beneficial, it is not required for this role.
Experience with the QuickBooks API is not required, but parts of this project will involve working with it.
Office/Location Details:
This position is ideally based in our Melbourne St Kilda road office, Australia. We prefer the developer to work out of our office, but it may be negotiable for this to be done a few days a week.
