Main Duties/Responsibilities:

You will be in charge of a purpose built aluminum RHIB (12m 2x350hp OB) and responsible for the daily running of snorkeling tours to the beautiful Mackay Reef on the GBR. Tours run daily 25pax, 2 crew, 2 tours per day (am & pm). We are an award-winning eco-tour and your guiding skills are just as important as Skipper responsibilities.
In summary:

• Snorkeling tour operation - briefings, lookout, guiding etc.
• Be aware of, perform and adhere to the Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies/procedures and in-house policies/procedures as laid out in the SMS and operations manual
• Always ensure excellent and professional client service by being courteous, welcoming, and informative.
• Strong and effective communication methods with management and other staff
• Providing input to tour schedule and liaising with office re tour bookings
• Carry out monthly drills with all crew
• Fuelling of vessel and daily maintenance planning and conducting 50 and 100hr services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Coxswain/Master under 12m– Mandatory open water not restricted

First Aid – Mandatory

CPR – Mandatory

02 – Mandatory

ESS – Mandatory

Responsible Service of Alcohol – Preferred
