About The Role
At DBG, we're passionate about delivering innovative healthcare solutions across both prescription and over-the-counter medicines. We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Senior Medical Affairs Associate to join our team, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping medical strategies, providing scientific expertise, and ensuring alignment with our business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact as a portfolio lead and subject matter expert, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams while upholding the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute medical affairs strategies to support business objectives and product lifecycle management.
  • Provide SME support for your portfolio of products and execute on medical strategy
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing and provide support towards business goals
  • Interpret and communicate clinical data to support the commercial teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry codes, and company policies.
  • Provide scientific and medical insights to internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, Quality and Regulatory teams.
  • Conducting literature reviews and supporting the development of scientific content.
  • External Engagement & Scientific Communication
  • Engage and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders during medical initiatives
  • Represent the company at medical and scientific conferences, symposia, and advisory boards.
  • Provide medical education and training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support investigator-sponsored research initiatives, and real-world evidence studies.
  • Support the development and dissemination of accurate, balanced, and evidence-based responses to support medical information team.
  • As the SME, provide training and support the broader team and foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Prepare training and FAQ for new product launches and support significant safety update
  • Collaborate with other functions within Scientific Affairs to support business goals, e.g. process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to pharmacovigilance and regulatory requirements for all business activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure promotional materials align with industry Code standards.
  • Provide oversight to ensure Sales and Marketing activities, such as patient support programs and any external HCP engagement meetings, are compliant with regulatory and all industry code standards
  • Develops SOPs and Work Instructions to ensure efficient and compliant ways of working for the Medical Information and Medical Affairs function.

Skills & Experience

  • Thorough understanding of relevant advertising codes (eg. MA, TGAC, CHP, and GBMA codes)
  • In depth understanding of pharmacovigilance legislation
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to express opinions, information and key points clearly and concisely, and effectively working with others to resolve conflicts in a positive way.
  • Well-developed and proven organisational skills with an ability to balance and prioritise a variety of tasks and competing demands in order to manage workflow.
  • Effective time management skills to determine the appropriate allocation of time to tasks and duties, ensuring timely completion, meeting critical time frames, and efficient use of time.
  • Strong problem solving, trouble-shooting and analytical skills, with the ability to create innovative workable solutions; proactive anticipation of needs, with the ability to foresee challenges and problems, and taking action to prevent them.
  • Excellent / advanced written, verbal and listening communication skills –speaks with confidence, clarity and is easily understood; active listening to effectively receive, interpret and analyse information.
  • Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities.
  • Strong negotiation, mediation and influencing skills, to reach compromise or agreement in any business situation, applying the principles of fairness, seeking mutual benefit and maintaining ongoing professional relationships.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role in medical affairs
  • Proven ability to support execution of medical affairs strategy
  • Advanced promotional review experience and application of industry codes
  • Medical Affairs experience in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Managed OTC and prescription medicine portfolios
  • Proven experience to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Past medical information experience
