Working closely with families and privately owned businesses across diverse industries, including construction, medical, and hospitality, they provide strategic advisory, tax, structuring, business recovery, and bookkeeping services. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Client Manager who will be a key driver in maintaining and elevating the high standard of client care and business advisory.Role Overview:As Client Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing the client relationship end-to-end and working with our technical teams to deliver accounting, tax, advisory, and business growth outcomes. You will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, identifying opportunities to add value, coordinating service delivery, and contributing to client growth and retention.Key Responsibilities:Serve as primary client liaison and trusted advisor for an assigned client portfolioLead discovery and needs analysis with clients to identify advisory, tax planning or business improvement opportunitiesOversee the delivery of compliance (tax returns, BAS, financial reporting) and advisory engagement deliverablesCoordinate and manage internal teams (accounting, tax, bookkeeping) to ensure work is delivered on time, to quality, and within budgetPrepare proposals, present fees, negotiate scopes, and upsell additional services (e.g. structuring, business recovery, benchmarking)Monitor client profitability, engagement margins, risks and billingActively contribute to business development efforts — e.g. networking, referrals, marketing campaignsMentor and guide more junior staff in client management, delegation, and technical executionStay current with regulatory, tax, and industry trends and provide insights/education to the clientSkills & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; CA/CPA or near-qualified is preferredSeveral years of public practice or advisory experience, ideally with client management exposureStrong technical capability across tax, accounting, advisory (or eagerness to deepen)Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills — ability to build rapport with owners/operatorsTrack record in growing client relationships, cross-selling value-added servicesAbility to manage and prioritise multiple clients/projects, with strong organisational skillsSound commercial acumen and ability to interpret financial informationLeadership or mentoring experience (even informal) is desirableWhat's on Offer:Initial salary of $120,000 - $140,000 plus superannuation and bonusesFormal bonus and incentive componentsHybrid working structure for work-life balanceFormal professional development opportunitiesA meaningful role where your impact on client outcomes and business growth is visibleOpportunity to broaden your advisory skills across diverse industriesSupportive, team-oriented culture where collaboration and continuous learning are valuedExposure to high-value clients (>$100m) and complex advisory projectsShortlisting will begin once applications are received.For a confidential discussion about this position, please call Shaun from Minchin Recruitment via or SCR-shaun-minchin
