This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting alongside a team of top-performing finance professionals. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in asset management and fund level accounting, as well as the opportunity to enhance business processes and offer commercial guidance to the broader team.

As a Senior Accountant, your main responsibility will be to assist with the financial and management reporting for the groups Real Estate function. You will prepare monthly management accounts for fund entities, review monthly profit and loss statements, conduct budget analysis and Balance Sheet accounts and reconciliations as needed. Additionally, you will collaborate with the investment team on complex accounting issues. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with financial and management reporting for the real estate group
  • Preparing monthly management accounts for fund entities
  • Reviewing monthly profit and loss and budget results
  • Reviewing monthly Balance Sheet accounts and reconciliations as required
  • Preparing compliance reports
  • Working with the Finance team to improve processes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in professional accounting/finance and CA/CPA certification
  • At least 10+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience in a similar role within a commercial real estate/asset management environment
  • Experience with ASX-listed funds and Registered Managed Investment Schemes is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of AASB standards, especially those relevant to Real Estate Investment Trusts
