About the Role

Following our recent success in securing the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) tender, MTC has exciting opportunities for motivated and client-focused Employment Consultants to join our Employment Services team at locations across Bankstown ESA.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Employment Consultant will be responsible for supporting individuals with disability, injury or health conditions to achieve meaningful and sustainable employment outcomes. The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conduct comprehensive participant appointments to assess individual circumstances, identify barriers and develop tailored job plans.
  • Build meaningful connections to understand participant goals and deliver personalised employment readiness support.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with relevant policies, procedures and performance standards.
  • Develop strong employer relationships to source suitable job opportunities and promote inclusive hiring practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including allied health, training providers, and community organisations.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement timely mitigation strategies.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Lived experience or relevant experience working with people with a disability
  • Qualifications in employment or disability services highly regarded
  • Deep understanding IEA guidelines, compliance and performance frameworks.
  • Ability to manage conflict, influence outcomes and support challenging behaviours.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to engage with diverse communities.
  • Passion for inclusive employment and supporting people with disability.
  • A valid, unrestricted driver's licence.
