About The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist / Civil /Tailings Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract (with potential to extend) as Tetra Tech Coffey on-site construction QA/QC representative for a tailings dam project in Indonesia.
The AwakMas Mindo Project is a gold mine development in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The site is located in Latimojong Sub-District, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province., approximately 350km from Makassar and 42 km from Belopa in Sulawesi.
You'll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, technical excellence, and professional development. The FIFO roster of 3 weeks on/3 weeks off provides an excellent balance between work and personal time.
About The Role
This opportunity offers the chance to gain valuable international project experience, working on a complex and challenging tailings project in a supportive and collaborative environment.
In This Position, You Will Be Responsible For
- On-site construction monitoring, QA/QC and inspection of tailings dam works
- Supervise field testing, instrumentation installation and routine monitoring
- Review contractor submittals, prepare inspection reports and advise on technical issues
- Ensure compliance with design, specifications, HSE and regulatory requirements
About You
You'll bring:
- Degree in Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering
- 6+ years geotechnical experience with 3+ years on tailings or large earthworks
- Strong field QA/QC, instrumentation and report writing skills
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients and multicultural teams.
- Willingness to work on a 3:3 roster; Indonesian experience is a plus
