Asthma Australia** seeks a highly motivated and hands-on Manager of IT to oversee our entire internal technology environment and serve as the primary liaison with our external Managed Service Provider (MSP). This crucial role requires a blend of deep technical skill, strategic oversight, and a passionate focus on end-user service and security compliance.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead MSP Relationship: Act as the primary technical and commercial liaison for the MSP, ensuring timely service and coordinating all system upgrades and projects.
  • Provide Hands-On Support: Deliver direct hands-on support, troubleshooting, and triage for all end-user issues and core business applications before escalation.
  • Drive Security & Compliance: Oversee IT governance, monitor risks, and ensure strict compliance with cybersecurity and privacy policies, especially for health data.
  • Manage IT Operations: Coordinate essential IT functions including asset management, software licensing, onboarding/offboarding, and budget monitoring.
  • Monitor Performance: Track and report on IT service performance against SLAs, KPIs, and user satisfaction to Senior Management.
  • Develop Staff & Culture: Manage and mentor the Data Solutions Analyst and champion digital literacy and technology adoption (including AI) across the organisation.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • IT Management Expertise: Strong experience managing IT support, systems administration, and technical issue resolution workflow.
  • MSP / Vendor Acumen: Proven familiarity with effectively managing and holding Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and external vendors accountable.
  • Technical Foundation: Expertise with the Microsoft 365 suite (SharePoint, Teams) and modern cloud-based systems.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of data governance, cybersecurity, and IT best practices.
  • Communication & Service: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management skills, and an absolute focus on high-quality service delivery.
  • NFP/Autonomy: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, ideally gained within a Not-for-Profit or health-related environment.
