About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to provide strategic leadership, coordination, and collaboration within Medicine Service Line with executive, interprofessional team members and others in service planning, delivery of exemplary, quality focused cost-effective consumer/person centred care, and workforce capacity and capability development.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 12 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
  • Facilitate practice of self and others is in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
  • Undertake, and participate in ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify and prioritise needs accessing both material and human resources through effective negotiation and communication to achieve cost effective consumer/person centred service delivery including Business Planning Framework (BPF) application.
