Our warm, busy, and welcoming family in Harrington Park is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and professional homeschooling nanny/educator to join their household. With a love of learning, creativity, and routine, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys guiding children academically while also supporting their independence, personal development, and wellbeing.

The family has five children, with the focus on the four eldest, and values a structured yet flexible routine that balances academic learning, creative pursuits, and outdoor play. Mornings are dedicated to core academic lessons in Maths and English, while afternoons focus on activity-based learning such as Montessori exercises, chess, arts and crafts, gardening, music, and other enrichment opportunities. The mother and grandmother are available to provide guidance and support, and the successful candidate will work collaboratively with them to create a stimulating, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Beyond teaching, the role includes managing daily routines, preparing meals and snacks in line with the family's dietary preferences, coordinating schedules, and supporting life skills and independence, such as encouraging children to tidy up after their activities, and helping with preparing food.

The family values a professional, reliable, and flexible educator who is nurturing yet able to enforce rules with consistency and kindness. Candidates should be creative, patient, and able to manage the natural chaos of a busy household while fostering curiosity and a love of learning. Experience in creating or following a curriculum, as well as interests in languages, etiquette, music, or other enrichment activities, is highly desirable.

This position offers four days, with the possibility of extending to a fifth day if the candidate brings additional skills or teaching expertise. Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Providing safe, nurturing care and structured teaching
• Planning, preparing, and delivering age-appropriate homeschooling lessons (Maths, English, and enrichment activities)
• Supporting children's independence and life skills
• Preparing meals and snacks in line with dietary requirements
• Managing the children's daily routines, belongings, and schedules
• Organising/encouraging the children to help tidy up after their activities
• Engaging the children in creative, educational, and outdoor activities
• Occasional evening support and flexibility for family needs
• Travel with the family when required

To apply, you MUST have the following experience, attitude, and qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years' experience in a teaching or homeschooling role
• Experience in creating or following a curriculum for multiple age groups
• Excellent communication skills and initiative
• Strong knowledge of child development and creative activity planning
• Reliable, organised, and able to multi-task in a busy household
• Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• 2+ Australian-based references in teaching roles
• National Police Check
