Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Workshop Foreman/2IC to lead and coordinate daily operations in our busy automotive workshop. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to organize customer bookings, quotes, and allocate work to technicians to deliver high-quality work efficiently. Knowledge of European vehicles is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Leadership

Oversee and coordinate day-to-day workshop activities, allocating tasks to technicians.

Meet and greet customers and take bookings.

Liaise with customers and technicians and provide quotes for any work required.

Workflow & Scheduling

Plan and prioritize jobs to meet deadlines and optimize workshop capacity.

Communicate with management about repair status and timelines.

Technical Support

Assist with mechanical and electrical jobs.

Support technicians with troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Uphold health & safety regulations and workplace cleanliness.

Administration

Complete job cards accurately and ensure proper documentation of work performed.


Qualifications & Experience

Required

5+ years of hands-on automotive mechanical experience.

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable

Proven experience with European vehicle brands (e.g., BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen).

Formal automotive qualifications (e.g., trade certificate or equivalent).

Valid driver's license.
