About the Role

Join a dynamic team driving financial excellence within South Australia's public healthcare system. As a Business Officer in the Surgery Program at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), you will play a key role in financial operations, performance reporting, and resource coordination across major hospital sites including the Royal Adelaide Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

This position supports the delivery of timely, accurate, and insightful financial and statistical reporting, ensures compliance with budgetary frameworks, coordinates building maintenance and minor works, and facilitates procurement and vendor management activities. You'll work closely with senior consultants, unit managers, and executive leadership to optimise resource allocation and deliver meaningful business outcomes.

About You

You are a highly motivated business or finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments. You will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliation, and data analysis in a large and complex organisation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of Power BI, Oracle, and related enterprise systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Eligibility for appointment subject to clearance and immunisation requirements
