The Role

The iconic Milton Park is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for Chefs de Partie to join our growing Kitchen team.

As a Chef de Partie you will be an integral part of delivering our dining experience to our guests, whether it be for a conference, wedding, or a la carte, at our food & beverage outlets.

About Milton Park Country House Hotel and Spa

Located less than a two hours' drive from Sydney, Milton Park Country House Hotel and Spa is a hidden gem, tucked away in a secluded hilltop woodland on the eastern edge of Bowral. This 44-room hotel has an adjoining luxury wellness spa, 2 restaurants and an events and conference pavilion set within its sprawling 32 acres of lawns and gardens.Due to re-open soon, Milton Park is undergoing a transformation that will showcase this luxury property to its full potential whilst honouring its long and prestigious history.

The role and key duties

  • Curating an unforgettable and personalised experience for our guests from start to finish;
  • Deliver our in-house dining menu inspired by local ingredients, prepared utilising creative preparation techniques;
  • Assist in leading the kitchen team to provide a quality and profitable dining experience that is in line with the vision of the restaurant;
  • Lead by example to ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations;
  • Deliver all food experiences for the property including: restaurant dining; functions, weddings, events and experiential dining opportunities;
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the overall success of your team and the retreat.

Essential criteria required to be considered

  • Chef trade qualification (essential);
  • Previous experience as a Chef De Partie in a high end, fine dining or hatted environment (essential);
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards;
  • Ability to work across all sections of the kitchen and run your own section;
  • Contribute to a positive and motivated kitchen atmosphere, and have a genuine passion for people, food and wine;
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards;
  • Ability and willingness to commence work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays;
  • Reliable vehicle to get to and from the retreat.
