Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Chef with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables
  • Serving and safely storing food items
  • Preparing and serving coffee beverages
  • Help with catering and hosting company events and meetings including set up and pack up
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with sanitation and hygiene standards
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean, including sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring work surfaces are regularly cleaned and sanitised

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in food handling/customer service in a café or commercial kitchen (ideally)
  • Clean and organised, excellent personal presentation and hygiene
  • Friendly, personable, good communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $29.46 – $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 28 per week
