About the role:
The Integration Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable automation workflows and integrations between our cloud-based infrastructure, on prem infrastructure and various SaaS applications. You will also be responsible for streamlining internal processes, improving system interoperability, and enabling business agility through secure, efficient automation practices.
This role supports our data team in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and workflows that enable seamless API-based data exchange between systems.
As an Automation and Integration Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop automated workflows using Microsoft tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Logic Apps
- Implement and maintain integrations between on prem infrastructure, cloud infrastructure and multiple Saas platforms
- Build and manage API-based data exchanges and event-driven architecture
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures and data transformations
- Monitor integration and automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement alerts and observability practices
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translating business processes into automation solutions
- Maintain and adhere to secure development practices
- Ensure all automation and integration work adheres to data security, privacy and compliance standards
- Keep documentation up to date and promote best practices for reusable and scalable integrations and automations
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in automation, cloud computing, and Saas integrations

About you:
We are seeking a driven individual with the following background:
- Proficient in scripting/programming languages
- Strong experience with cloud platforms
- Experience with workflow automation using PowerShell, Logic Apps or Azure Functions
- Familiarity with low-code/no-code automation platforms such as Power Automate, Logic Apps
- Proven experience with API development and consumption (REST, GraphQL, Webhooks)
- Hands-on experience with API-based integrations
- Experience in data integration and migration, including on-prem to cloud and system-to-system transfers
- Proficiency with SQL databases, including advanced SQL skills (query optimisation and stored procedures)
- Experience working with identity management and secure authentication protocols (e.g. OAuth, SAML)
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, access control, and monitoring within cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with Azure databases and Azure services, particularly Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Storage (Blob and Data Lake Gen2) and resource configuration — with the ability to design, develop, and manage end-to-end data pipelines.
