About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our talented culinary team at the Yandina Hotel in Yandina, QLD. This is a casual role, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a vibrant and friendly environment. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality cuisine to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes from our diverse menu
  2. Ensuring all food items are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste and presentation
  3. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
  4. Assisting the Head Chef with menu planning and development
  5. Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service
  6. Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef/Cook in a similar hospitality or tourism environment
  2. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
  3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  5. Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  6. Current Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain
