NQ Engineering and Fabrication Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced Boilermaker or First Class Welder to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and expertise within a dynamic and growing engineering and fabrication company.

What you'll be doing

1. Fabricating and assembling Silverback Ute/Truck components, including bodies, canopies, toolboxes and a variety of metal components and structures
2. Project work - variety of steel fabrications and structural work
3. Reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
4. Collaborating with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements
5. Adhering to strict quality control and workplace health and safety standards

What we're looking for

1. Relevant trade qualifications as a Boilermaker or First Class Welder, with experience in aluminium, stainless and mild steel fabrication
2. High level of MIG and TIG welding skill are essential
3. Proven experience in a similar fabrication or engineering role, preferably within the trades and services industry
4. Excellent technical skills in welding, cutting, and metal forming techniques
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications
6. Collaborative mindset with a commitment to workplace safety
