Our new territory manager will be part of a small team of professionals who are responsive to our industry's needs and are focused on offering an outstanding experience to our customers.

The role will be based at our Castle Hill headquarters (North West Sydney).

Tasks & responsibilities

  • To work with all Nano Vacuum customers located in New South Wales, Canberra, & New Zealand (North Island) to maximise sales revenue and profitability
  • Follow the territory sales plan and implement the required steps (e.g. sales calls, trade shows, morning teas) to achieve the objectives
  • Uncover sales opportunities through research and networking, using your industry and product knowledge to offer customers superior outcomes compared to their existing practice or to those presented by competitors
  • Manage each sales opportunity in a structured manner, assisting the customer through the purchase process with appropriate follow up(s)
  • Ensure all reporting and CRM requirements are met

Qualifications & experience

  • PhD qualification will be highly regarded in the field of Micro/Nano-fabrication, Thin Film Deposition, Lithography, Device Packaging and/or similar topics in Material Science and Engineering
  • Previous territory sales management experience in a technical / engineering / scientific area
  • Proven ability to meet/exceed sales and profit targets
  • Experience with material / physical science research in a university, government or industrial research organisation
  • Miceo/Nano-fabrication experience will be highly regarded
  • Proficiency in relationship-based selling
  • Proficiency with the MS Office software suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational ability
  • Attention to detail / meets deadlines
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to follow procedures and comply with Occupational Health & Safety directives
  • Qualifications and working experience in an engineering or physical sciences area is mandatory
  • Experience / qualifications in marketing or business would be highly regarded
  • Current motor vehicle drivers licence and own vehicle
