A full-time Excavator Operator and good all-rounder on site

Our concrete crew is growing and we're looking for an experienced Excavator Operator who doesn't mind getting out of the machine on a pour day.

Our crews work across Surf Coast, Geelong and The Bellarine focusing on residential and decorative concrete work. We specialise in a broad spectrum of works from slabs and footings to driveways, hardscaping and retaining walls.

We're looking for an Excavator Operator/ All-rounder to support an experienced concrete crew and able to work in a fast-paced environment. At Arkonik we want to harness your skills and specialties – we'll put you on jobs that suit your expertise while also giving you the opportunity to hone your skills in a new disciplines (if you want to develop further).

Excavator Operator

As an Excavator Operator you'll be responsible for doing the base work – site cuts and prepping site, ready for form work to take place. Your role will span from operating to reading and understanding architectural and engineering plans, giving direction to off-siders and helping out on occasional pour days. Your work will ensure that the spaces we create are sharp and at a high standard – keeping our stellar reputation for high quality work, intact. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Excavation
• Reading structural + architectural plans
• On-ground direction to off-siders
• Plan and manage site cuts and execute to a high standard
• Routine maintenance on equipment

Requirements:

• Own transport
• Physically Fit
• Construction White Card
• 3 years previous experience
• Medium-rigid + excavator tickets
