About the role
Due to increasing growth, we have a permanent opportunity for a full-time steel reinforcing scheduler. Initial training would be based at our Derrimut, Vic site for a duration of 3 to 6 months, after which you would be required to re-locate to SA.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting structural, architectural and civil drawings for reinforcing steel
- Scheduling of reinforcing steel into our internal system to allow our manufacturing team to produce this material accurately and efficiently
- Liaising with all stake holders; including external customers and internal production, planning and sales teams about delivery requirements and expectations
- Efficient management of assigned projects
- Forecasting and estimating future production and accessory requirements for assigned projects
- Being present at site meetings as and when required
- Helping to solve scheduling difficulties on site when appropriate
- Liaise with external third-party suppliers when required
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Reinforcing Scheduler
- Strong communication skills to work with a diverse team and customer base
- Excellent organization skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to perform duties within specific time frames, plan ahead and meet deadlines
- A team player outlook with the ability to work autonomously when required
- Ability to resolve issues and avoid conflict
- Proactive approach to customer requirements
