About the role
Join the team at Altequip as a full-time Mechanical Fitter based in Geebung, Queensland. In this key role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of industrial Elevated Work Platforms and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
What you'll be doing
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Equipment, including Motors, Hydraulics, Pumps, and Auto Electrical.
- Carry out fault-finding and diagnose issues with machinery
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical components
- Comply with all health, safety, and quality standards
- Maintain detailed records of work undertaken
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient operations
What we're looking for
- Formal trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a similar industrial environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
