The Australian Lock Company is an award-winning company with patented products distributed around the world. Our Unanderra head office and manufacturing complex is located an hour south of Sydney. An opportunity exists for a team focused, driven and hardworking individual to join our Operations team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Programming, setting, and running CNC machining centres in a production environment. Production machinery is a mix of Swiss style turning centres (Star, Tornos) and traditional turning centres (DMG Mori, Miyano).
- Reviewing existing G-Code programming and optimising the cycle time and product quality through robust problem solving as well as producing new G-Code programming for new parts and item variations.
- Problem solving production equipment and tooling issues using both internal and external stakeholders.
- Inspection of production components as part of the setting process, including problem solving in-run quality improvements delivered from quality control checks.
The successful application should:
- Have trade qualifications in fitting/machining and be confident in applying those qualifications in a production environment. We would also consider fitting/machining apprentice who has completed their 3rd year looking for a long-term opportunity.
- A strong desire to learn and grow in a small team environment built on trust, collaboration and accountability.
- Be a willing participant in the total process of for product improvement.
- Be driven by a quality first approach and have the confidence to participate in the innovation of high security locking products and their associated production processes.
