• $1,232.68 gross per 38 hour week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
• Permanent Full time position based at our Millmerran Depot.
• 9 day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off.

About the position

The Gardener position is responsible for undertaking highly skilled gardening duties and responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure delivery of the desired standards of service in the maintenance of Council parks and gardens.  This position will be responsible for the care and maintenance of machinery and may be required to perform a range of park maintenance duties using various pieces of equipment.

This position will work under general supervision.

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria

1. 2. Demonstrated ability to perform work at the horticulturalist trade or equivalent level with the ability to apply appropriate skills to suit varying demands of the work.
3. Demonstrated basic numeracy, written and oral communication skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to understand directions and to communicate information and instructions effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate accurately and provide advice in a helpful manner to a wide range of stakeholders.
6. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively, safely and ethically under general supervision in a team environment.
7. Understanding of and commitment to Council's Organisational Value and Behaviour of Accountability.
