About Us

Honour Care (Shiny Care Pty Ltd) is a registered NDIS provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred support across Brisbane, Logan, and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable female support worker to assist a young Aboriginal client in Inala.

About the Role

The role involves providing respectful and empowering support to a young Aboriginal participant, assisting with day-to-day living, personal care, and community participation. A culturally sensitive approach and genuine commitment to supporting independence are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and daily living support

  • Support community access and recreational activities

  • Encourage independence, skills building, and self-confidence

  • Maintain professional boundaries and respect cultural values

  • Complete shift notes and follow care plans

Requirements

  • Female support worker (requirement of participant's care needs)

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent)

  • Current First Aid & CPR

  • NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card)

  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

  • Current Police Check

  • Driver's licence + reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance

  • Cultural awareness and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

  • Previous experience supporting young people or Aboriginal clients is highly regarded
