About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and enhancing modern web applications by building new components and features in HealthCare Logic products. This role contributes to the development of responsive, user-friendly interfaces, supports UI/UX design improvements, and helps maintain and evolve our CI/CD pipelines on Azure. The Software Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, participate in peer code reviews, and ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across platforms. The role also involves staying current with emerging technologies and applying best practices in full-stack development to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors HealthCare Logic software products.
• Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.
• Executes given test scripts under supervision.
• Records results and reports issues.
• Develops an understanding of the role of testing within system development, as a tool for design improvement as well as a validation process.
• Creates and documents detailed designs for software applications or components applying agreed modelling techniques, standards, patterns and tools.
• Contributes to the design of components of larger software systems.
• Defines test conditions for given requirements.
• Designs test cases and creates test scripts and supporting data, working to the specifications provided.
• Applies data analysis, design, and modelling techniques to establish, modify or maintain a data structure and its associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions).

Essential Skills & Experience

• A degree in Computer Science or similar, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge in web application development.
• 3+ years' experience working intimately in JavaScript and exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, Redux, GraphQL, NodeJS/ExpressJS, , TypeScript, Webpack, NPM, and test framework such as Cypress
• Experience using Git repository such as Bitbucket, Github, Azure Devops and other PaaS technology.
• Experience in setting up CI/CD pipeline and using tools such as Azure Devops, Bamboo, Travis, Jenkins, as well as other CI/CD tools.
• Experience in database design, especially RDBMS, and common database products such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
• Experience and skills in developing applications using SPA architecture, cross browser compatibility and HTML5/CSS layout, including SASS, UI/UX knowledge and wireframing.
• Prior experience with application or web development working in fast-paced agile and exposure to modern collaborative tools such as Scrum and Test-Driven Development.
• Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Be a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Be passionate about delivering high quality work and in timely manner
• Able to work under pressure and with minimum supervision

Good to Have

• Experience with Healthcare data
• Experience with Amazon AWS or Azure Cloud Platform in particular App Services and Virtual Machines
• Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines
• Experience writing automated tests for front end and back end JavaScript
