This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in modern, serverless environments and enjoys enabling engineering teams to deliver better, faster and more securely.

This is a permanent, full-time and hybrid role, working from home and the office.
The Role
We're seeking a
DevOps Engineer
to support and improve the deployment of our SaaS platform — with a strong focus on AWS serverless infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD. You'll also support legacy systems as part of a broader uplift program.

As a DevOps Engineer At Verra Mobility You Will

• Build and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation)
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bamboo)
• Manage Kubernetes-based services (EKS) and container workflows
• Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code for consistent cloud provisioning
• Support legacy platform stability and CI/CD uplift
• Monitor system health (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana) and lead incident resolution (P1/P2)
• Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to root cause analysis
• Work across engineering, support, and product teams in agile delivery

What You Bring

• 3+ years in DevOps or Cloud roles, ideally within SaaS or high-availability platforms
• Strong AWS experience (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Route53, OpenSearch etc.)
• Proficiency with Shell, Python or PowerShell
• IaC with CloudFormation, Terraform or similar
• Git, Jira, SonarQube, Veracode, and containerisation/Kubernetes (EKS)
• Linux admin experience and sound grasp of network/security fundamentals
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
