Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Assets Officer to join the Infrastructure team
- Full time 35 hours week
- Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year
- Weekly pay cycle
- Salary range $ $1831.99
ABOUT THE ROLE
To support effective asset management across Council by maintaining accurate asset registers, capturing and reporting asset data for valuation and funding purposes, and conducting condition assessments across Council's infrastructure assets. The role is responsible for ensuring timely updates following maintenance work, managing pre-disaster evidence for DRFA claims, and responding to asset-related safety concerns. It also includes undertaking asset inspections across roads (excluding highways), parks, buildings, water, sewer, and other relevant areas, as well as maintaining allocated plant and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and public safety.
Essential
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- Possession of Class C Driver's Licence
- Certificate IV Asset Management or related qualification
- Possession of WorkCover WH&S Construction Induction Training (White Card) or willingness to obtain one
- Advanced skills in using Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office Programs
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to WH&S
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
