About the firmOur client is a specialist boutique litigation practice in the Melbourne CBD with easy access to public transport. The firm acts in sensitive and often high profile disputes involving allegations of fraud, misconduct, corruption and serious commercial wrongdoing. They are known for their thoughtful, rigorous approach to resolving complex matters and for partnering closely with leading counsel. The team is tight knit, intellectually engaged and committed to producing work of the highest quality.

What you'll be doingYou will manage your own litigation files from day one and play a central role in shaping strategy. This is a role for someone who enjoys challenging work, meaningful responsibility and direct exposure to clients facing significant legal and reputational consequences.

  • Investigate allegations of fraud, dishonest conduct and commercial impropriety
  • Run matters involving breaches of fiduciary duties and contractual disputes
  • Prepare and refine pleadings, affidavits and submissions to a high standard
  • Work closely with counsel in developing complex case theories
  • Appear at mediations, directions hearings and interlocutory disputes
  • Guide clients through sensitive and high pressure decision making

What you'll bring

  • At least 5-7 years PQE in commercial litigation
  • Experience running contested hearings and managing evidence
  • Strong written advocacy skills and structured analytical thinking
  • Confidence in handling clients facing serious allegations or complex disputes
