About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Mine Geologist to join our high-performing geology team at Henty. This is a fast-paced and challenging role, collecting and maintaining high-quality geological data, supporting underground mining operations, and contributing to exploration planning. You will play a key role in daily production activities, underground mapping, drill planning, data interpretation, and stockpile management.

Key Responsibilities

· Independently interpret complex geological data sets to support exploration, production, and operational decision-making, often under tight deadlines.

· Carry out routine mapping and sampling of all accessible headings, development drives, and stopes to maintain high levels of geological accuracy.

· Plan, schedule, and prioritise both sludge and diamond drill holes to align with resource definition requirements and short-term operational goals.

· Review, check, and formally approve all Diamond Drill Hole Proposals (DDPs), ensuring technical and procedural compliance.

· Log diamond drill core to a consistently high standard.

· Oversee, monitor, and provide guidance on all sludge and production drilling programs to ensure strict adherence to geological models and cost controls.

· Maintain up-to-date records by continuously updating digital and hard-copy geological maps, plans, and related documentation.

· Actively participate in mine planning meetings and mandatory 6:00 am shift-start meetings, as well as prepare detailed night shift geological instructions to support seamless operational transitions.

· Coordinate and supervise the daily dispatch of samples, with responsibility for quality control and timely submission.

· Maintain regular liaison with laboratories to follow up on assays and ensure delivery of results within operational timelines.

· Engage with mill personnel to manage ROM feed, monitor ore quality, and provide frequent updates on any changes impacting production.

· Take responsibility for ROM stockpile management, including directing haulage, conducting routine inspections, and reporting variances.

· Collaborate closely with geotechnical and mine planning engineers to integrate geological input into broader mine planning processes.

· Provide continuous geological communication and instruction to mining personnel, ensuring full understanding and alignment with operational requirements.

· Contribute actively to multiple geological projects, team reviews, and ongoing exploration planning activities as directed.

About You

• Bachelor's degree with Honors in Geology
• 2–3 years' experience working in Geology
• Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Skilled in core logging, sampling, and underground mapping.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Comfortable with geological software and databases.
• Manual C Class Driver's Licence.

Desirable skills:

• Experience with DataShed, DataMine, Deswik and Leapfrog.
• Ability to produce accurate geological models from mapping and assay data.
• Strong written reporting skills and attention to detail.
