As Team Leader, you will be pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of our garden maintenance contracts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture, excellent organisational skills, and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
This full-time position is located across two high profile sites in the eastern suburbs - Admiralty House and Bronte House. To succeed in this role, you will have to be self-motivated and love green spaces. If this sounds like you we encourage you to apply and grow your career with Green by Nature.
Responsibilities- Undertake hands on work whilst providing guidance and support - ensuring as a small team that the client's needs are met efficiently and effectively.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including planting, pruning, hedging, fertilising, and pest control, following client specifications and seasonal requirements.
- Conduct site assessments to identify maintenance needs, develop work plans, and estimate resource requirements.
- Coordinate with client to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide recommendations for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and health of their gardens.
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring availability and proper maintenance to support operational activities.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens - as you will be assisting with training and developing of staff this is a must.
You enjoy working in a small team and have a strong hands-on background in horticulture. You have a flexible approach to dealing with the diverse needs of a client and have proven excellent organisation skills.
You have a white card and valid drivers licence.
You have recent experience in a supervisory role and have well-honed decision making skills. If you have experience motivating, imparting knowledge to and helping an apprentice bloom this will be highly regarded.
