About the role
Mackay City Auto Group is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee our busy General Fleet Service operations in Mackay, QLD. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of skilled technicians to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the efficient operation of our fleet servicing division.
What you'll be doing
- Manage a team of vehicle service technicians and support staff to ensure high quality and timely service delivery
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet servicing department, including scheduling, inventory management, and budget control
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, employee productivity, and overall business performance
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Foster a positive, safety-focused work environment and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
What we're looking for
- Proven track record of managing a successful automotive retail or fleet service operation, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient in inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team
- Relevant industry qualifications and certifications
