AIM Mining is an Australian gold exploration and mining company with operations at Warrawoona and Nullagine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Following the successful transition to an owner-operator model and the ramp-up of our projects, we are expanding our corporate team in Perth to support our growing operations.

We are now seeking an experienced and proactive Purchasing Officer to join our Perth Corporate Office. This key role supports the Purchasing and Inventory teams on site and the Commercial Manager in Perth to ensure that all procure-to-pay processes are conducted in the most optimal cost and time effective manners and to industry best practice level.

About the Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Purchasing Officer will be responsible for end to end procurement activities, supplier management and supporting site-based teams with purchasing, logistics and systems administration.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative corporate environment while maintaining strong operational links to our sites at Warrawoona and Nullagine. Occasional site travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of procurement, including RFQs, tenders and purchase orders.
  • Prepare, issue, evaluate and recommend awards for the supply of goods and services.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and commercial arrangements with suppliers.
  • Expedite purchase orders and ensure supplier performance aligns with expectations.
  • Review and process vendor request forms and supplier credit applications.
  • Support site teams in resolving invoice, quantity or quality discrepancies.
  • Raise and receipt purchase orders in Pronto as required.
  • Coordinate transport for general cargo, reagents and fuel deliveries with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records in Pronto and shared repositories.
  • Assisting in processing ANSI requests.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement processes and procedures.
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting requirements in collaboration with Finance.
  • Provide a relief capacity to on site Purchasing and Inventory teams when required.

About You

We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values accuracy, teamwork and communication.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification or Certificate IV in Purchasing, Procurement, Contract or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within the resources industry (gold mining preferred).
  • Experience in international low cost country procurement is a must
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing, vendor management and inventory management processes and systems.
  • Experience with Pronto is essential.

  • Proficiency with MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with site teams.

  • Current C Class driver's licence.
  • High risk forklift ticket (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
