About the role

We are searching for First Year Technicians at Pirtek Wacol.

Throughout your Apprenticeship with Pirtek Wacol, you will develop your knowledge and skills across a mechanical engineering trade.

1ST year roles will include but not limited to.


• Assembling and kitting of components

• Assembly and testing of hydraulic, industrial, food and ultra high pressure hoses.

• Assisting in hydraulic installations.

• Counter Sales and Fulfilling customer sales orders accurately and on time to meet our customers high standards; 

• Basic warehouse and house keeping duties.

About you


• A strong understanding of customer service

• Good telephone manner

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to carry out instructions

• Mechanical background an advantage but not imperative

• Ability to operate machinery, use tools and measuring devices

• Current drivers' license or working towards obtaining one, reliable transport is needed.

• Be computer literate and have good literacy and numeracy skills

• Well-presented and groomed

• Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship

• Ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and problem solve

• Desire to be a team player

• Live within a reasonable distance to the business

• An understanding of WHS and Safe Work Practices

• Maintain neat and tidy dress and appearance in line with Pirtek Dress Code Policy
