The Role
Due to internal promotion, Roseville College currently has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced French teacher to inspire and support students in their study of French, from Year 2 through to Year 9. The successful applicant will foster an appreciation of the study of languages and the French language itself. They will be an exceptional educator and communicator with an ability to develop positive relationships in a culture of collaboration and inquiry.
This is a part time 0.6 FTE opportunity across Stages 1-5. However, applicants with Stage 6 experience are encouraged also to apply.
Qualifications, skills and experience
- NESA accreditation.
- Experienced, highly effective, innovative and motivated educator.
- A passionate learner and teacher of languages.
- Appropriately qualified (tertiary and language qualifications).
- Able to teach French in Stages 1 – 5, experience within the PYP framework an advantage.
- Experienced in developing programs within languages.
- An outstanding communicator with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships.
- Able to inspire students in languages.
- Able to demonstrate a personal sense of initiative, enthusiasm and high energy.
- Outstandingly organised and skilled in planning.
- Committed to professional learning and continuous improvement.
- Actively supportive of the Christian mission and values of the College.
