Islamic School of Canberra is a co-educational, K – 11 independent school located in Weston. We are a growing and expanding school and are opening year 12 in 2026. Secondary Teachers

As we are having Year 11 in 2025, we are looking for experienced teachers in different subjects such as English, HASS, Maths, Science and Female Sports Teacher.

Primary Teachers and Teacher Librarian

We are hiring primary class teachers, ICT, Teacher librarian and Female Sports specialist teachers as well.

Skills and Training:

a. A sound understanding of the Australian National Curriculum

b. Excellent written and spoken English skills

c. Able to develop an engaging learning environment with effective classroom management

e. Differentiate teaching for mixed-ability students

f. Participate in the school's professional development activities

h. Possess current TQI registration and WWVP card

Job tasks and responsibilities

1. Follow and implement school policies and procedures related to curriculum, student management, assessment, and reporting.

2. Implement the school's term planners and daily, weekly planners.

3. Attend all curriculum days, staff meetings and school activities and events throughout the year.

4. Attend to yard duties and supervise students in and outside the classroom during breaks.
