Inclusive Education Co-Educator

Commence: ASAP, Term 4, 2025

ESO Grade hours per week - 40 weeks per year FTE

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? St Michael's College, a proud member of the global Lasallian family, is seeking an Inclusive Education Co-Educator to join our Secondary Campus.

As a Co-Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional learning and wellbeing needs—particularly in literacy and numeracy—helping them achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class, small group, and one-on-one support for students with diverse learning needs
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated curriculum, resources and programs in literacy, numeracy, and personal development
  • Support students on excursions, incursions and camps
  • Collaborate with teachers, leaders, and families to implement Personalised Plans for Learning (PPLs)
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that supports students' academic, social, and emotional growth

About You:

  • Genuine desire and experience working with young people with diverse needs in a secondary or similar setting
  • Understanding of strategies for behaviour management and learning support
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to the Lasallian ethos and the values of faith, service and community

Evidentiary Requirements

Essential

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in inclusive education or disability support (Certificate IV in Education Support highly regarded)
  • Work and support students with the learning and wellbeing emotionally and socially
  • Reflective and adaptable to the ever-changing educational landscape
  • Current Driver's License
  • Current and acceptable Working with Children Clearance and screening to work in Catholic Education SA
  • Current valid Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care certificate

Desirable

  • Role related qualifications or experience in an Inclusive Education, College or Disability setting
  • Certificate in IV Education Support qualification is highly desirable
  • Diploma in Education Support
