Deputy Principal (Digital Pedagogy) Project
An exciting opportunity continues to exist as the current Deputy Principal project role will be extended for 2026 and will therefore lead the strategic work currently in other Deputy Principal roles and the replacement of the IT Managers role.
As a school, we feel that there is still so much work and learning to do together in this space and the role requires some more targeted time and leadership.
Responsibilities include:
This role will be responsible for leading and continuing to build on our strong progress in:
- Leading digital innovation and Whole School Pedagogy (including QLearn, MacGregor Learning Framework}
- Enhancing Teacher and Leadership capability in leading Digital Pedagogies
- Curriculum Alignment including V9 and QCAA syllabus implementation
- Leading Professional Learning initiatives and capability development in QUT Linkage 2.0, CLCs, Collegial Capability Development - CCD
- Leading all third party partnerships and developing capability [Education Perfect, DayMap etc]
- Line Management of our Tech Connect Staff
There may be some other small operational/strategic parts added to this role, however, this project role will require sufficient time and space to achieve the outcomes that will be clearly outlined in roles and responsibilities of the role which will be finalised with the successful candidate.
Why is this role so important in 2026
The leadership focus at MacGregor SHS remains on ensuring that all members model strong visibility and authentic leadership in supporting both staff and students across our school. The work outlined in this role continues to evolve rapidly, with clear timelines and deliverables linked to our EQ/QCAA priorities. To best support our staff with this workload, we need to be deliberate in how we resource and sustain this project work.
At its core, this is about supporting our staff so they, in turn, can best support each other and our students. Our leadership approach is grounded in providing 100% support, time, and learning opportunities for staff to grow, collaborate, celebrate and embed the initiatives described above. We recognise that this is significant work, complex, layered, ongoing.
