The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Podiatrist – Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia
You will
- Deliver expert podiatry care for acute and high-risk foot cases
- Lead health education and foot health promotion initiatives.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and support research
- Prioritise high-risk clients to maximise specialist podiatry capacity
- Provide advanced clinical advice and foster team skill development
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in in Podiatry
- While not mandatory, possession of post-graduate qualifications (e.g. Masters Degree) from a relevant accredited training program or equivalent would be well regarded.
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- (Temporary full time (up to 12 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum
About Us
Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service Podiatry services are primarily aimed at treatment and management of acute foot problems (Category 1). In addition to this the aim is to increase access to assessment, care planning and interventions for patients with high risk of developing foot ulcers that can lead to amputation if not managed in a timely and appropriate fashion.
The services are based at Helensvale Community Health and Robina Health Precinct and offer group-based education and exercise programs and individual therapy sessions. The multidisciplinary team delivers a broad range of clinical services including Dietetics, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Podiatry, Psychology, Social Work, and Speech Pathology.
