Founded in 2007, Dewdrops remains a family owned, boutique early childhood service with four locations: Coburg, Brunswick, Brunswick West and Reservoir. We are a small, yet dynamic team, and proud of our growing reputation as an employer of choice in the early years sector.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Diploma Qualified Educator to work at our Coburg Kindergarten. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a great team in a long day care setting for three-five year old children focused on school readiness. We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • A positive and professional outlook, who is willing to learn and grow
  • A passion for early childhood education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young children
  • A strong understanding of the compliance and operational requirements of an early childhood service
  • Experience in program planning, including an ability to write comprehensive program plans, observations and learning stories, respond to emergent ideas and document play based learning opportunities using Storypark
  • Experience with emergent and intentional teaching practices and an ability to create engaging educational experiences for children
  • An ability to connect with, and maintain positive, professional relationships with families, children and colleagues
  • Strong communication and administration skills to support the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader where needed
  • A willingness to undertake an ongoing closing shift as a Responsible Person
  • Permanent work rights with no restrictions and English language proficiency (verbal and written)
