This pivotal management role is newly created to strengthen on-site environmental leadership and align with their expansive growth mindset.

About the Role

As the Environmental Superintendent, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for environmental compliance and sustainable operations. Working closely with senior leadership, you will oversee environmental monitoring, regulatory compliance, and innovation in environmental management systems.

Key Responsibilities:*

• Manage environmental compliance, including water management, noise, and dust monitoring.
• Oversee a team of Senior Environmental Advisors, Environmental Advisors, and Technicians.
• Foster a proactive regulatory relationship and ensure compliance with local and federal legislation.
• Lead change management initiatives to improve environmental data systems and streamline processes.
• Enhance in-house capabilities for monitoring and investigations, reducing reliance on external consultants.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in environmental management within the mining or resources sector.
• Strong leadership and change management skills to inspire and guide teams.
• Familiarity with environmental compliance and regulatory frameworks, particularly in community-proximate operations.
• Auditing experience (training can be provided if necessary).
• Technological aptitude with a drive for innovation and efficiency in environmental systems.
