About this Position:

This position is central to ensure that plant and equipment stay functional to deliver services to the community. Our Fuel Truck Driver not only delivers fuel but if responsible for the control if inventory, emergency response for fuel spills and compliance with legislative requirements and workplace health and safety.

We are looking for a motivated person with a great attitude, who is invested in being part of the Lismore City Council team. In return we will provide you with a challenge and the ability to contribute to the success of our community.

You'll be working in a 76 hour per fortnight in a permanent role, that will primarily be based at our Maintenance depot in Lismore. Hours are 6am to 3pm on a 9 day fortnight.

What we trust you to deliver

  • Safe refuelling of fixed and mobile plant to keep operations running.
  • Conduct pre-start safety checks and including daily inspections on plant items to ensure safe use.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Manager and site supervisors to achieve goals, solve problems and reduce risk.
  • Demonstrate positive behaviours to deliver great outcomes for our internal stakeholders and the wider community.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Experience in the operation of a Fuel Truck
  • Current Class HR Drivers Licence
  • Verification of Competency in the operation of the Fuel Truck
  • Forklift High Risk Work Licence
  • Verification of Competency in the operation of a Forklift
  • SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training Card
  • General Construction Induction Training Card (white card)
  • Working at Heights Statement of Attainment

Full position description:

Full Time: 76 hours a fortnight

Salary range: $60,150 to $66,165 per annum + superannuation
