We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Brisbane. In this role reporting directly to the service manager, you will be responsible for the service and preventative maintenance of HVAC systems at our client sites. Your key focus will be ensuring optimal system performance, identifying potential issues before they arise, and maintaining accurate service records and logs.

What your day may look like:

  • Perform routine maintenance (including cleaning) and servicing on a variety of HVAC Systems.
  • Service, maintain and repair HVAC systems across government and commercial sites.
  • Diagnose faults and troubleshoot systems of all kinds, ranging from split systems to large-scale commercial systems.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Complete detailed service reports and ensure compliance documentation is completed.
  • Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and clients professionally
  • Adhere to OH&S and site-specific safety protocols at all times

What We're Looking For:

  • Cert III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
  • Current ARCtick licence (Refrigerant Handling)
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Valid Australian driver's licence
  • QBCC Occupational Licence
  • Experience working in commercial HVAC
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic, punctual, and able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to pass QLD Police & Working with children checks (required for government site access)

Nice to Have (But Not Essential)

  • Previous experience on government buildings (e.g. schools, hospitals, TAFEs)
  • Working at Heights or EWP ticket
  • Familiarity with BMS systems
