Rehabilitation Consultant

About the Opportunity

We have an exciting and diverse opportunity for a Rehabilitation Consultant from an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor or Psychologist discipline to join our growing team on a Contractor basis.

You will be assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach, focusing on health and well-being. You'll be managing a portfolio of cases including Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Workplace Health & Safety Assessments.

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you are an integral piece of someone's recovery, you support them through their rehab journey and guide them through the process.

• Assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach, focusing on health and wellbeing.
• Managing a portfolio of cases including Workcover WA and CTP claims.
• Undertake Vocational assessments, initial needs assessments and worksite assessments.
• Deliver Vocational Counselling, facilitate interventions and wellbeing programs.
• Collaborate and liaise with employers, medical and other allied health professionals.
• Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work.
• Document case notes as part of your reporting, applying your clinical judgement to support and guide your clients.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders

The role will suit someone who will be able to engage and maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders.

About you

• At least 1 year of Occupational Rehabilitation Consulting experience
• Extensive Workcover WA Legislative knowledge.
• You must hold the same values as us You must hold a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Rehab Counselling or Psychology, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiologist
• AHPRA/ASORC/ESSA accreditation Have a passion for helping people
• Hold a full driver's license and access to own car
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• You enjoy working hard but equally enjoy having a good laugh
